Release of Pulse2 1.5
Paris the 26th of June 2013 : Mandriva S.A. , the leading french Open Source Software vendor announced the immediate availability of its newest major version of Pulse2, its professional IT systems management software.
This new version of Pulse2 is a landmark for the IT systems management software industry . Pulse2 is the first open source IT systems management solution from Europe that provides enterprise-grade features such automated package deployment on a number of platforms (Windows, Linux, Unix) and the ability to scale up to large systems beyond twenty thousand seats.
For Mandriva, this major version marks its « comeback moment » in the enterprise software field. After a few years of uncertainty the company has repositioned itself in the field of professional software solutions and is now picking up momentum with its new product releases.
This new version features a variety of improvements while perfecting the many features that had been added to the former releases in an incremental fashion. The integration of BackUp Solution strenghtens the ability to secure the data existing all across the IT systems, while the ability to use dashboards and analytics from several security sources (antivirus, firewall logs…) allows a faster reaction time in case of incidents.
“Pulse2 has become the reference for IT systems management that are heterogenous and run across multiple sites” says Jean-Manuel Croset, CEO of Mandriva S.A. “With this new release we worked hard to ensure that our solution has the right features that make it appealing for large enterprise deployments as well as for smaller, cost-sensitive businesses”.
Mandriva Pulse2 1.5 is the new reference version of Mandriva’s IT systems management offering. Customers using previous versions of Pulse are encouraged to migrate to this new release and take the full advantage of its new and advanced capabilities.
